About Us
Founded in 1935, Henzells Agency is today an independent third generation family business and one of the most respected companies on the Sunshine Coast. Roy Henzell Senior first established Henzells Agency in a small timber shack on the corner site in Bulcock Street that Henzells Agency still occupies today. For 75 years Henzells Agency has been synonymous with Caloundra property from houses, units, land, business and holiday accommodation.
Roy Senior's son Bevan continued the family tradition and almost 40 years after the company had first made its mark in Caloundra, he started work on Henzells Plaza - the shopping and office complex in which Henzells Agency is located today.
Bevan passed away in 1982 with his wife Judy and son Roy Junior assuming control of the company.
There is a true family spirit which continues today with grandson Roy carrying the torch into the new millennium guiding projects which had been first envisioned by his grandfather, nurtured and grown by Bevan and then developed into fruition by members of the third generation of Henzell family members.
Pelican Waters is perhaps the jewel in the Henzell's crown, setting a benchmark for all future Queensland residential projects. It is the present day Roy Henzell who has guided this huge development project into the 21st century, following on from the dream his grandfather held, when back in 1946 he purchased a hugely undeveloped and unwanted property at Golden Beach.
Today, Pelican Waters is a thriving residential community in its own right and boasts its own Greg Norman-designed golf course, a shopping centre and tavern. New land continues to sell rapidly off-the plan at Pelican Waters and the community now boasts a private school and international resort as it continues to develop.
